Project Content
You will contribute to the initial phase of Common Intelligence Lab, a micro-research project initiated by Shintaro Miyazaki. The work involves reading, discussing and investigating materials from libraries, archives and online sources to clarify what "Common Intelligence" implies and how to pursue alternatives to the futures dictated by tech billionaires, their affiliates, and those captured by capitalist realism and what is conventionally termed Artificial Intelligence.

Tasks for Interns
The intern will engage in collaborative research to develop the conceptual foundations of Common Intelligence Lab. Core activities include: autonomous literature study with subsequent group and individual discussion; drafting short analytical or exploratory texts; and iterative refinement of these texts through feedback rounds. The work contributes directly to mapping theoretical and practical alternatives to dominant AI paradigms.

Academic Level
  • Master’s students
  • Doctoral students

Strong interest in theoretical and critical literature. Prior engagement with poststructuralist theory, Marxism, critical theory, feminism, and/or postcolonial studies is welcome but not required.

Very good English language skills (reading, writing, discussion); additional languages are welcome (i.e., German). Capacity for self-directed study and collaborative intellectual work. Willingness to articulate and revise positions through text and dialogue.
