Project Content
Neurorium develops technology that facilitates using Biological Neural Networks (BNNs) for computational tasks. BNNs are made up of living interconnected neurons that communicate with digital substrate through electrical signals. Our training modules and software stack provide a hybrid computational plat-form, with applications in adaptive, few-shot learning, and physical AI.

Tasks for Interns
You will support the development of strategic partnerships and scalable business models for an early-stage biocomputing start-up. The role will focus on understanding how the company's technology and capabilities can create value for different partners, customers, research organizations, and industry stakeholders.

Expected activities may include identifying and mapping potential strategic partners; researching relevant companies, research organizations, innovation networks, investors, technology providers, and other ecosystem participants; analyzing partnership models and collaboration opportunities; supporting the preparation of partnership proposals and outreach materials; and helping the team prepare for discussions with prospective partners.

You may also contribute to business model development by evaluating potential customer segments, value propositions, revenue models, pricing approaches, routes to market, and partnership structures. Activities may include benchmarking comparable companies and business models, developing strategic scenarios, preparing business-model analyses, and translating research into concrete recommendations for the founding team.

The exact focus can be adapted to the intern's academic background and interests and to the start-up's strategic priorities at the time of the internship.

Requirements
We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial student with a strong interest in technology commercialization, innovation, partnerships, and start-up development. A strong willingness to develop a solid understanding of biocomputing technology, its capabilities, and its potential applications across different markets is essential, as meaningful contributions to business development, strategic partnerships, and market creation will depend on the ability to connect an emerging technology with new use cases, stakeholders, and commercial opportunities.

Suitable backgrounds may include business, economics, entrepreneurship, innovation management, strategy, technology management, or related disciplines. Familiarity with business models, strategic analysis, partnership development, technology transfer, or innovation ecosystems is helpful.

The intern should be comfortable researching organizations and unfamiliar markets, structuring complex information, comparing strategic alternatives, and turning analysis into concise recommendations. Strong communication and presentation skills are important, as the role may involve preparing materials for external stakeholders.

We particularly value independence, sound judgment, initiative, creativity, professionalism, curiosity, and the ability to work effectively in an environment where priorities may evolve as new opportunities emerge.
