iur.crowd is improving how legal professionals work by offering a platform that combines legal data sharing, AI-powered research tools, and analytics. Currently, 450 law firms use their platform to make research faster and more accurate, cutting time spent by up to 75%. Their commitment to open legal data aims to make court decisions more accessible and transparent.
Tasks for Interns
  • Assist with coding and data integration to expand our legal analytics platform
  • Develop individual analytics features, such as calculating win rates and analyzing "streitwerte" (disputed amounts)
  • Support data cleaning, preprocessing, and formatting tasks to ensure high data quality
  • Document code and processes for maintainability and future reference
  • Collaborate with team members to refine and enhance analytics outputs
  • Contribute to code optimization and refactoring for improved performance and readability

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Python and experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy)
  • Interest in working with legal data and developing insights for legal analytics
  • Analytical thinking, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of data cleaning, preprocessing, and documentation practices
  • Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members effectively
Expected Preparation
  • Brush up on Python data analysis libraries (pandas, numpy) and basic legal data concepts to support analytics tasks effectively.
