Project Content
In this project, the intern will study the impact of QCD background on the HH to 4b final state at the LHC. The aim is to reduce the uncertainties on the background estimation for this analysis. The intern will analyze ATLAS the background composition with the help of ATLAS data and MC simulations.
Tasks for Interns
  • Get familiarized with the ATLAS software environment;
  • Analyze the provide QCD samples;
  • Develop a background identification method;
  • Determine if time permits uncertainties;
  • Write up the results in the form of a short report in English (ATLAS communication note).
