Centre Marc Bloch (CMB) is a German-French research center for the humanities and social sciences.
The CMB, a bi-national institution, is a place for interdisciplinary research and the training of young academics. There are five research focuses within which numerous academics work on specific projects.
Research Focuses:
The State, Political Norms, and Political Conflicts
Mobilities, Migrations, Reconfiguration of Spaces
Dynamics and Experiences of Globalisation
Critical Thinking in the Plural. Conceptual Approaches in Research in the Social Sciences
Societies and their ecological challenges. Societies and Their Ecological Challenges
Tasks for Interns
Research support
Research and documentation
Translations, transcriptions
Other activities in consultation with the supervising researcher
Participation in the research seminar as well as in the meetings of a focus selected in advance
Organization of scientific events (support of project coordination)
Logistical support (contact with caterers, provision of buffets, coffee breaks, etc.)
Participation in the organization of an event from A to Z (within the possibilities of the internship period).
Assist the General Secretariat in the administration of the CMB
General administrative tasks
Text writing, editing, and translations
Database maintenance
Assistance in the preparation of the annual activity report (bibliography, lists, formatting, etc.)

Requirements
Students must know French and German - one of these languages fluently, the other at least passively understood.
Interested students are asked to name either a project they want to engage with or a researcher they intend to work with.
