Project Content
We are a team of three founders with the vision to revolutionize how digital circuits are designed and, with it, the entire world of computer chips. Using our own open-source tool, “Gatery”, we bring concepts from software development into digital circuit design, boosting productivity and fun, intending to reinvent the entire ecosystem. Our customers are companies that develop hardware-accelerated solutions and want to buy or outsource components.

To strengthen our communication and sales efforts, we are looking for someone to support our team members in sales prospecting as well as social media and market research.
Tasks for Interns
  • Support the development of Gatery
  • Support the development of RTL-design components in Gatery
  • Build small demonstration projects to showcase Gatery, Gatery components, and FPGA acceleration
  • Showcase the demonstration projects through e.g. blog posts

Note that Gatery is open source and on github: Most of your work on Gatery and Gatery components will be visible to future employers.
Academic Level
Advanced undergraduate students (from third year)
Master's students

Requirements
  • Solid programming skills in any language
  • Some familiarity with C++ preferred
  • Profound interest in RTL design (implementing algorithms in digital circuits e.g. in FPGAs)
  • Preexisting experience in RTL design (VHDL, Verilog, Chisel, ...) preferred but not necessary
Expected Preparation
Not mandatory, but if you can get your hands on it, play "Silicon Zero", "Shenzen I/O", or similar video games and see if it becomes addictive or annoying. You can also check out Gatery on our website and github.
